In the interior of 19th century Haida Gwaii, Adiits'ii, a charismatic nobleman, accidentally causes the death of his best friend's child. Burdened with guilt, he fled into the forest and slowly lost his mind, turning into a Gaagiixid—a bloodthirsty supernatural creature.
