BAKA's Identity (Orokamono no Mibun)
BAKA's Identity tells the story of a man who suddenly loses his social identity in an urban society that is obsessed with status and digitalization. The main character wakes up in a state where everyone calls him "Baka" (Fool), while all official records regarding his existence have been mysteriously erased. The core of the story moves on an absurd but touching search for identity, where he must navigate a cruel world with a pure and honest view, which is often considered stupidity by others. This conflict forces the audience to question what really forms a person's identity: is it name and position, or actions and sincerity? Amid the pressure to return to "normal", will he be able to find a place in a world that has forgotten him, or will his new identity as "the fool" give him true freedom?
